I havent been to Surat Thani, but Koh Phangan seem to my as a much better place to spend your vacation tbh. The list of recommended hotels is above in this article 🙂
Hey Yulia, thanks for taking the time to share your experience and love for travel. I’m from Sydney and my motive for life is to travel and experience new things as much as possible. I visited Krabi last year with my friends and loved it. This time im getting my 2yrs old along. We wont be able to do much of night life due to the little one but would like to stay super close to calm waters and to some sightseeing. We are 4 in total with 2 kids, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated in
Hello, Smitha! I’m glad you want to travel and take your kid along, too – I think that’s great! I actually have some good recommendations for you. You can stay at The Hideaway Mae Haad. It’s only 10 minutes away from the beach and overall a very calm and relaxing place. Another option can be Maehaad Bay Resort – this one is actually situated on the beach and it has its own pool and restaurant. Very cool place!
Both of them are close to calm waters and you can get to walk around and maybe even visit the Wang Sai Waterfall if you want 🙂 Hope you will find some free spots in these places for your holiday and you will relax and enjoy it!
Hi Yulia love your blog. I am visiting Koh Phangan with my husband and 1 year old. We like nightlife and don’t want to be anywhere too quiet that we can’t have a walk and see what’s happening 🙂 however not somewhere too loud and crazy. Can you recommend the best beach for us to visit and stay??
I recommend you visit Bottle Beach, and some accommodation options can be
Haad Khuad Resort
or Smile Bungalow Bottle Beach
Another nice beach is Malibu Beach, very well-known. There, you can stay at Malibu Beach Bungalows or the awesome Paradise Waterfall House which is fully booked most of the time but you can try and see if there’s anything available for your stay.
