Spectacular Samara
A crossroads for this part of the world, Samara in southwestern Russia is an interesting place to find yourself in. The city rests on the banks of the Volga River and has long been an important trade stop as a result.
Perhaps the main claim to fame for Samara is Stalin’s Bunker, the emergency location for the leader in WWII should Germany take Moscow. Other things to see in Samara include a handful of museums and the riverside park in the warmer months.
