The southern island state of Tasmania offers visitors a slightly different side to Australia thanks to the dense nature that covers it. Tasmania features a wonderful variety of environments for travelers to explore, from ancient rainforests at Cradle Mountain to the gorgeous beaches in the Bay of Fires.
The island is also known for its wonderful wildlife, from kangaroos and wombats to its iconic Tasmanian devil. Not that there isn’t culture and history too, with places like the incredible MONA museum and the historic penal colony of Port Arthur.
